Cambridge Science Park member Pragmatic Semiconductor has won the RFID Product Gold Prize at the IOTE 2026 Innovative Product Awards for its NFC product portfolio.
The award recognises Pragmatic’s flexible integrated circuit (FlexIC) technology, which enables ultra-thin chips to be integrated into labels, packaging and everyday products, connecting physical products with digital information and services.
Its award-winning portfolio includes NFC Connect, which can be used for consumer engagement, product authentication, traceability and digital product passports, and NFC Protect, designed to help tackle counterfeiting, tampering and product refilling.
Pragmatic’s fabrication method uses less water and energy and fewer harmful chemicals than conventional semiconductor manufacturing, helping to reduce its carbon footprint.
The company showcased the technology alongside a range of customer and partner applications at IOTE Shenzhen 2026, where it also introduced its new Chinese brand identity, Pragmatic 湃, reflecting the importance of the Chinese market and its commitment to customers in the region.
