Cambridge Science Park is expanding out its leadership team, strengthening the Park’s critical role supporting the next wave of science and technology innovation in Cambridge and across the UK, as captured within its ‘masterplan’.

David McNee has joined as Estate Director, taking responsibility for estate strategy and operations across the Park. His role will help ensure the campus continues to be a high-quality, well-managed environment where organisations can focus on what they do best: innovation and growth.

Alex Bishop has joined as Director of Marketing, Communications and Community. She will focus on strengthening the Park’s brand and visibility while stepping up community-building, engagement and tenant experience. Her remit includes creating more opportunities for connection, collaboration and shared activity across the campus.

Jane Hutchins’ role is now centred on external engagement as Director of External Affairs. This dedicated focus allows her to represent the Park more prominently to partners, policymakers and the wider innovation ecosystem, while supporting programmes which accelerate the growth of science, tech and deep-tech ventures across the Park.

These appointments are the first steps in a series of enhancements to strengthen the Park’s management structure.  A Senior Director of Development and Operations will also be appointed. This role will guide the Park’s strategic direction, lead stakeholder engagement, oversee the delivery of the estate masterplan and help embed ESG priorities across the campus.

Jamie Trivedi-Bateman, Director of Investment for Trinity College Cambridge said: “These additions will help realise Trinity College Cambridge’s bold long-term vision for the Park, ensuring it continues to play a leading role in supporting the next generation of science and technology innovation in Cambridge and across the UK, as it has done so successfully for the past 55 years.”

Europe’s original science park, it has long been a place where world-changing ideas take root, from lifesaving therapies to smartphone technologies to sustainable pea-protein coatings. Backed by Trinity College’s long-standing commitment to science and technology, this strengthened leadership team will help support breakthroughs like these for decades to come.
