Take-up continues at 101 Cambridge
- Date 25 Oct 2010
We are pleased to announce the leasing of 11,571 sq ft to Citrix Systems at 101 Cambridge, Cambridge Science Park.
The company, an existing occupier at 101 Cambridge, has enjoyed such rapid expansion that it has almost doubled its office space by adding to the original 15,287 sq ft it took in 2009. Now occupying the whole of the first floor, Citrix’s new ten-year lease at £26.50 per sq ft has firmly established 101 Cambridge as the flagship building within Cambridge.
The prestigious gateway building was developed by Exemplar Properties and is managed by LaSalle Investment Management on behalf of the Royal Mail Pension Fund. 101 Cambridge is also home to global electronics giant Philips.
Michael Bucknell of Exemplar comments:
“We believed there was an inherent lack of supply of top quality office and R & D accommodation in this sought after location so 101 Cambridge was speculatively built to address this. It was designed to attract the best technology companies, who are back in the ascendant in Cambridge, and so far this has proven to be the case”.
A further 11,500 sq ft is under offer to another global technology company who is looking to expand and upgrade within the park so potential occupiers would be well advised to act quickly. There are currently only two suites remaining at 101 Cambridge: 11,522 sq ft on the ground floor and 15,000 sq ft on the top floor.
“We have always had great feedback about 101 Cambridge, our staff really appreciate working here and it is a key location for our business. Expanding within this building has been a popular move, not only is it a great facility, being located in this globally recognized science park is ideal” says Richard Margetts of Citrix.
Bidwells and Juniper Real Estate jointly advised Exemplar and LaSalle Investment Management on the letting to Citrix.
