Roadworks at entrance to the Park

If you are travelling to or from the Park via Milton Road between the hours of 7pm and 5am, please be aware that new road works affecting the entrance to the Park will be starting this evening. We are obliged to carry out these works as part of the planning consent for the new buildings at the entrance.

The works involve:

• Creating an extra lane on the Milton Road into the city
• Closure of the entrance to Cowley Road – on exiting the Park, you will no longer be able to drive straight across Milton Road to Cowley Road. Instead, you will have to access Cowley Road via the traffic lights at Taylor Vinters. The closure also means that vehicles leaving the city will no longer be able to turn right into Cowley Road. 
• Repositioning of the traffic island and signals towards the roundabout on the link road between the Park and the Milton Road - this is aimed at reducing the pinch point at the entrance, and will give vehicles turning right into the Park from the A14 section of the Milton Road (using either of the two lanes) more room to turn
• Upgrading the pedestrian crossing island on Milton Road

Works will be carried out between 8th March and 21st June 2021 between the hours of 19.00hrs and 05.00hrs – 7 days a week. Temporary traffic lights will be used only during working hours. Permanent signals will be in use during out of working hours i.e. between 05.00hrs and 19.00hrs
