Cambridge Consultants, a world-leading product development and technology consultancy, part of Capgemini Invent, has today announced Monty Barlow as its new CEO. Previously the Chief Technology Officer, Barlow succeeds Eric Wilkinson who will be retiring after 31 years with the company.
Barlow will be leading the global team of engineers, scientists, designers, and consultants that deliver over 500 scientific, engineering and design projects each year and help some of the world’s biggest brands and most ambitious start-ups to realise their technology-based aspirations.
On his appointment, Monty Barlow commented “I am energised by the opportunity to lead Cambridge Consultants into the next phase of its growth within Capgemini. I would like to thank Eric Wilkinson for his contribution over the past 31 years, and for his inspiring leadership. Barlow has been with Cambridge Consultants for 23 years and has been responsible for incubating new strategic technology groups to extend Cambridge Consultants’ expertise in bleeding edge technologies such as synthetic biology, machine psychology and quantum computation. Cambridge Consultants has more than 20,000 sqm of state-of-the-art R&D facilities, with over 100 fully equipped labs, design offices and workshops.
Eric Wilkinson, who held the CEO role since 2017, said, “I want to thank everyone at Cambridge Consultants for their support and dedication; we have achieved a great deal together.
