Leading business and financial adviser Grant Thornton UK LLP continues its commitment to investing in digital training with the announcement today of a new programme to further enhance the skills of its people in data and digital technology.
The new programme, designed and delivered by BPP Education Group, a leading education provider, covers the key technologies affecting professional services firms and their clients. The key goal is to inform participants about developments in technology, enhance their skills in data analysis, and consider how these technologies will enable them to provide more value and insight to clients.
With digital expertise a growing requirement across the accountancy profession, the new programme will build on the firm’s existing training programmes and make a significant impact on the data and digital skills of qualified professionals in the firm’s audit and tax teams.
Fiona Baldwin, Head of Audit, Grant Thornton UK LLP, said:
“We’re committed to investing in the skills development of our people and ensuring that the services we provide are of the highest quality and relevance to the market. We recognise that digital permeates everything we do and, in order to provide the best quality advice and support, all our advisers need to be digitally savvy and confident in their use of data and new technologies.
“This new training means that everyone in our audit and tax teams, regardless of level, will have a consistent base set of digital skills to improve how they work and drive greater efficiencies in our use of technology across the firm. Building on the success of our trainee ‘digital accountant’ pathway announced last year, and our additional digital training offerings, this programme will ensure that all our people are future fit and equipped with the skills needed to succeed in the market and go beyond for our clients.”
