Charity fundraising record

We rely solely on the support and generosity of local people and corporate sponsors like Cambridge Consultants to help us raise the cash needed to operate our two helicopters. So this amazing amount of money will really make a difference.”

Since it began flying in 2000, the EAAA has helped to save the lives of hundreds of people involved in accidents or medical emergencies across Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk. Its team of doctors and critical care paramedics aims to reach anyone in East Anglia within 25 minutes. The helicopters are equipped with a full range of specialist lifesaving equipment, allowing the medical crew to deliver A&E-level care at the scene of an incident – in effect, bringing the hospital to the patient.

“When we were selecting our ‘charity of the year’ for 2015, the EAAA was a popular choice as it provides a vital lifeline for the local community,” said Louise James, head of the charity committee at Cambridge Consultants. “We are proud that our staff have once again proved generous with their time and money to enable us to beat our previous fundraising record by an incredible 40%.”
