Cambridge Future Tech Expands its Board with the Appointment of Michael Beer and Jem Davies as Non-Executive Directors

Cambridge Future Tech (CFT), the leading venture-builder dedicated to fostering DeepTech innovation, proudly announces the appointment of Michael Beer and Jem Davies as Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) to its board. Their extensive experience and profound expertise in the tech industry will bolster CFT's strategic direction and accelerate its mission to drive innovation in transformative technologies.
Michael Beer recently announced his new role as Chief Financial Officer at Energy Vault, a leader in sustainable grid-scale energy storage solutions and brings a wealth of financial expertise to the board. Prior to this, he held a variety of senior finance positions in Silicon Valley at FreeWire Technologies and Luminar Technologies. Before Luminar, Michael spent 15 years focusing on global transportation and infrastructure companies, with roles at Citigroup in Asia as well as Wolfe Research, Bear Stearns, and other firms in the US. Michael's keen insight into the capitalisation and commercialisation of early-stage companies within the energy transition and mobility space will significantly enhance CFT's pioneering efforts in transformative and sustainable technologies.
A distinguished business leader and technologist, Jem Davies’ illustrious career spanned 18 years at Arm, where he held various leadership positions and contributed significantly to the company's growth and innovation. Jem was an Arm Fellow, holding multiple patents, became General Manager in Arm’s Media Processing Groups, and was the founding General Manager of its Machine Learning division. With expertise in technology roadmap development, product innovation, and market positioning, Jem's strategic guidance will be instrumental in driving CFT's forward-thinking initiatives.
