Johnson Matthey recognised by Dow Jones Sustainability Index

Johnson Matthey, a global leader in sustainable technologies, has been recognised in the annual Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for companies in Europe. Launched in 1999, DJSI is a leading independent assessment of a company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance globally and was among the very first set of global indices to track the largest and leading sustainability driven publicly listed companies based on long term economic and ESG factors. Through the assessments led by S&P Global they measure all aspects of sustainability performance, including innovation management, climate strategy, environmental management, health and safety and human capital development. JM has a strong heritage in sustainability; it is an integral part of its strategy and governance. Last year, almost 86% of sales came from products and services that positively contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and make the world a cleaner and healthier place. JM is also developing new sustainable technologies at the heart of solutions that address climate change. These include our next generation battery cathode materials for electric cars, our innovative processes to produce clean hydrogen and fuel cells for zero emission power. Read more
