HR System and Data Specialist

We are seeking a skilled HR Systems and Data Specialist to join our People and Culture function. This role is pivotal in supporting the development, system integration, and enhancements of Workday Enable suite at the RSC. You will work closely with colleagues in People & Culture and Technology teams to ensure we maximise the value from the system, produce clean data, and generate valuable insights to inform decision-making and manage workforce risk effectively.

 

At the RSC we embrace flexibility and offer hybrid working, which means our teams come together when they need to collaborate.

 

Although this role is contractually based at our Cambridge or London office, you will be able to work from home within the UK, with the expectation that you will attend the office as needed for your role.

 

In this role it is expected that you will attend the office 1 day per week. If you need flexible working arrangements, please outline this in your application. Travel to both the Cambridge and London will be required for this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the effective setup and functionality of the Workday system, resolving technical issues promptly.
  • Work with P&C and business stakeholders to deliver system changes and annual process-driven events.
  • Serve as the SME for Workday functional areas, including Core HCM, Absence, Talent and Performance, Recruitment, Compensation, Integrations, Security, Dashboards, and Reporting.
  • Define, build, and maintain reporting solutions, ensuring data integrity and handling sensitive data per company policies.
  • Provide support and upskilling for Workday Analyst and P&C colleagues and lead the development of dashboards and reports.
  • Oversee Workday security configurations, suggest and lead system improvements, and assist in the review and testing of biannual Workday releases.
  • Assist in managing Workday tenants, ensuring adequate testing for production changes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong aptitude in data analysis, reporting, and data visualisation.
  • Exceptional skills in Excel and data manipulation.
  • Business acumen to explain data analysis and trends to stakeholders.
  • Significant experience in Workday systems management, focusing on HCM.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Experience in project management and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Workday certification(s) is a plus.
  • Previous experience in managing system upgrades/maintenance.
