JM first qualified in 2003. In order to qualify, each year JM is independently assessed according to the FTSE4Good Index criteria. We have remained in the 91st percentile – which puts us in the top ten per cent within the ICB Supersector: Chemicals for sustainability. Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE4Good indices are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products. JM has a strong heritage in sustainability; it is an integral part of our strategy and governance. Last year, 85.9% of our sales came from products and services that positively contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. JM is also developing new sustainable technologies that are enabling a global shift to net zero. These include our next generation battery cathode materials for electric cars and our innovative processes to produce low carbon hydrogen.
