Jane Hutchins, Director of External Affairs & Innovation at Cambridge Science Park, has been appointed Interim Vice Chair of the UK Science Park Association (UKSPA), alongside her role at the Park.
Jane will work with the UKSPA Board as the Association puts its new strategy into action, supporting greater collaboration across the UK’s science parks and innovation communities.
Since joining Cambridge Science Park in 2022, Jane has developed a strong understanding of the Cambridge innovation ecosystem and the factors that help businesses and innovation communities thrive. She also regularly advises governments, investors and developers in the UK and internationally.
The new role will provide an opportunity for Jane to share the experience gained through her work at the Park, while bringing insight from UKSPA’s diverse membership back into the Cambridge community.
Speaking about her appointment, Jane said: “One of the great strengths of UKSPA is the breadth of experience within its membership. There is so much we can learn from one another.”
Her appointment provides another opportunity for Cambridge Science Park to contribute to the national conversation around the future of science parks and the role they play in supporting innovation, businesses and the wider economy.
