Gardening kit project

Can you spare £16.79 to fund a gardening kit for families to grow tomatoes & broad beans? We appreciate that many of you already support one of more charities. However since we received this request on behalf of disadvantaged families in our immediate neighbourhood, we wanted to make you aware of this opportunity.   The North Cambridge Community Partnership (NCCP) is seeking to encourage 50 families in Arbury and King’s Hedges to join their Community Gardening Club. These families meet the criteria of the Index of Multiple Deprivation. The NCCP want to provide each family with a starter kit that will enable them to grow their own tomatoes and broad beans in the community garden.  Grow bagCanesTomato & braid bean seedsPlastic pots (for seeding and germination) Soil/compost Notebook for each family to document the process and add photosTotal cost per kit = £16.79   If you like to know more about this local community and the issues they face, please join us for an online lunchtime discussion with Ricardo Arbelaez – Chair of the North Cambridge Community Partnership – on 28 April at 12.30.  Please email jeanette.walker@cambridgesciencepark.co.uk if you would like to contribute to the gardening kit.
