Funding and awards recognition for Filtronic

Filtronic has secured UK Space Agency-backed funding for its next generation of satellite technology and a string of awards nominations, including recognition in three categories at the UK Tech Awards 2026.

The new funding, awarded through the UK Space Agency’s Ground Station Innovation Programme and supported by the European Space Agency’s ARTES Programme, will help Filtronic develop next-generation RF over IP technology.

The technology is designed to support the satellite industry’s shift towards fully digital ground infrastructure, as networks become increasingly software-defined and cloud-based.

The news comes as Filtronic continues to grow its business, expand manufacturing capacity and strengthen its position across the telecommunications, space and defence sectors.

The company has been shortlisted for Company of the Year at the AIM Awards 2026 and is also in the running for three UK Tech Awards: Tech Company of the Year, Deal of the Year and Growth Business of the Year.

Together, the funding and awards recognition cap a significant period of growth for Filtronic and continued investment in technology for some of the world’s most demanding communications applications.
