The next generation of innovators is already getting to work at the Park.
Every month, Code Club, part of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, brings young people aged 9 to 16 to The Bradfield Centre, where they learn to code, build creative projects and develop the digital skills that will shape the future.
The sessions are led by software engineer Isaac Oldwood, who previously worked in Cambridge Science Park. Having built his own career at the Park, Isaac now returns each month to give something back, helping inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and software developers.
From creating games in Scratch to progressing into Python and even experimenting with game development, every session gives children the chance to explore technology at their own pace with support from experienced volunteers.
Hosted at the Park and run independently by volunteers, Code Club reflects the collaborative spirit of our community. It brings together Park members, local families and volunteers who share a passion for education, technology and inspiring young people. Parents are encouraged to learn alongside their children, making each session a shared experience for the whole family.
Whether they dream of becoming a software developer, scientist, engineer or entrepreneur, every journey starts with curiosity and the confidence to try something new.
