PHP Application Patterns: Interfaces, Traits, Abstractions and Base Classes

Join Ruth Ivimey-Cook for a talk where she will compare the several ways to (de)compose code using PHP 7, including Interfaces, Abstract base classes, inheritance and Traits. Presuming some familiarity with the syntax, he will looking primarily at the appropriate ways to use these structures to achieve various application goals, some of their advantages and disadvantages, and how techniques such as dependency injection build on them. The speaker will provide a personal view of the topic and this should result in a lively discussion.
