The miX Factor: ensuring diversity when scaling your business

The Bradfield Centre
Fri 05 Oct

12:30 - 14:30

loop white

Managing a balanced workforce in a rapidly growing business can be tricky at the best of times but how can you ensure that diversity and gender representation does not get side lined in order to meet headcount? In a male dominated industry and with demand outstripping supply, tech firms need to ensure that they are making themselves attractive to a diverse talent pool.

This event addresses how businesses can actively target diverse talent pools to meet their head count requirements and place professionals from diverse talent pools into key technical roles.

Recruiting for diversity - Inge Woudstra, Director, W20 Consulting & Training

The current lack of talent in STEM areas is being made worse by recruiting practices benefitting certain groups more than others. Businesses need to be proactive in attracting more diverse talent pools which can bring real business benefits.

This interactive talk addresses how businesses can adapt their adverts, employee branding, recruitment channels, job roles and selection practices to attract a more diverse pool of candidates.

Connecting female talent for success - Katherine Codlin, Speechmatics &Cambridge Women in Technology

Cambridge Women in Technology has grown rapidly in less than 2 years to be a successful platform for local STEM women to debate key issues and implement change within their respective areas of interest.
