Menopause and How it Affects Women, Colleagues and Family
12:30 - 13:30
Research suggests that 1 in 10 women consider leaving their job as a consequence of their menopausal symptoms, as well as lack of support from the workplace. When you consider 23% of the female working population are 45-55 years old, raising awareness of menopause symptoms amongst the entire workforce and offering female employees support with their menopausal transition should form part of all company workplace policies and help to ensure experienced, skilled, talented women remain in the labour market.
We’re delighted that local menopause specialist, Dr Susanna Unsworth from Cambridge Women's Health has offered to run a free education session on Monday 29th April 12:30-13:30 at The Bradfield Centre.
This session is open to all as it’s so important that women, colleagues and family learn more about this natural transition.
Do come along and be more informed about
· what perimenopause and menopause are
· timings of the transition
· what symptoms to expect
· coping strategies
· treatments
· menopause in the workplace
An open question and answer session will follow the 40 minute talk. Questions can be pre-submitted by emailing info@cambridgewomenshealth.co.uk but personalised medical advice will not be offered in this setting.
In the meantime, if you would like to read more about Cambridge Women’s Health and the expert menopause care they offer, or you would like to arrange a private talk for your team, please visit www.cambridgewomenshealth.co.uk
