Book Club - 15 April 2024

This month's book will be Heritage of Blood and Magic by Mirna Chandrakumar – this is the first of a trilogy of fantasy books. The book is set 100 years after a devastating war between “Thinkers”, who lean on technology to accomplish their aims, and “Feelers”, who are gifted with special abilities granted by nature.

March Book Club - recap from Lara Pocock

Unruly by David Mitchell. I think expectations were on high on this one as we like the author/topic but for some these were not quite met. The book scored 3.5/5. We did listen or read this one, the group was pretty split on the formats and that did mean there were different experiences. We enjoyed the anecdotes but found some sections convoluted. Some would be keen for him to do an edition on modern history. There were comparisons with 1066 and Horrible Histories books.
