Book Club

At the March Book Club, we will be reading Unruly by David Mitchell – a history of Britain’s Kings and Queens. There seems to be a few of us who may listen to this one so it will be interesting to see how it compares to those reading it.

Last month we read Yellow by Rebecca Kuangnd and really enjoyed the themes, the character development and the narrative... It was a rare meeting where everyone had managed to finish the book, a good sign we think!

Some of us felt the ending was a bit deflating. We compared it to other gothic horror, including Daphne Du Maurier and Verity by Colleen Hoover. There was also a comparison with regards to social media and the recent James Somerton plagiarism scandal.
