Cambridge Wireless becomes CWConnected

Cambridge Wireless has unveiled a new identity as CWConnected, reflecting the organisation’s expanding technology community and growing international reach.

For more than two decades, Cambridge Wireless has brought together innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and policymakers to collaborate, share knowledge and shape the future of technology.

Now, the organisation is evolving its identity to reflect how much the technology landscape, and its own community, have changed.

CEO Michaela Eschbach said the Cambridge Wireless name no longer fully reflected the breadth of organisations and technologies represented by its members.

When Cambridge Wireless was founded, wireless technology was an emerging field at the forefront of innovation. Today, connectivity is embedded across modern life and business, while the organisation’s community has expanded into areas including advanced connectivity, semiconductors, AI, software, digital infrastructure, data and deep tech.

The new name, CWConnected, is intended to better reflect this broader focus while retaining the organisation’s Cambridge heritage.

“Cambridge remains a hugely important part of our identity,” said Eschbach. “It is where we were founded and it continues to provide us with a globally recognised innovation heritage.”

The change is being positioned as an evolution rather than a departure from the organisation’s history, as its membership, partnerships and activities continue to grow nationally and internationally.

The new identity is accompanied by the tagline “Shaping the future of technology, together.”

The CWConnected identity is now reflected across the organisation’s existing website and communications.
