Three Cambridge Science Park members have been recognised at the Business Weekly Awards, highlighting the breadth of innovation taking place across the Park.
Owlstone Medical took home the US-UK Health Tech Alliance award, while Pragmatic Semiconductor was named Sustainability Champion and Astex Pharmaceuticals won Deal of the Year.
Adding to the Park’s presence at the event, Jane Hutchins, Director at Cambridge Science Park, presented the Sustainability Champion award to Pragmatic Semiconductor.
The awards celebrate achievements across Cambridge’s technology and life sciences community, with this year’s Park member winners showcasing work spanning health technology, sustainable semiconductor manufacturing and pharmaceutical development.
The event also featured guest speaker Tim Minshall, who reflected on Cambridge’s remarkable concentration of talent and its potential to deliver even greater impact.
Drawing on a bike ride he took in 1993 from central Cambridge to St John’s Innovation Centre and Cambridge Science Park, Tim described the moment he realised he was working in a city of extraordinary discovery.
He also challenged Cambridge’s innovation community to think globally, build stronger collaborations and focus not only on innovation, but on scaling it.
For the Park, the achievements of Owlstone Medical, Pragmatic Semiconductor and Astex Pharmaceuticals offer a strong example of that potential in action.
Congratulations to all three Park members on their awards.
