The next Facilities Management Special Interest Group will be taking place on Wednesday 9 September.
NABERS UK at Unit 334: From Design Target to Real-World Performance
What does it take to turn an ambitious energy target into a building that performs in practice?
334 Cambridge Science Park has achieved a 5.5-star NABERS UK Design Reviewed Target Rating following the retrofit of the existing office building, putting operational energy performance at the heart of its design, refurbishment and commissioning.
At this FM Special Interest Group, we’ll welcome you to Unit 334 and discuss this live case study.
Bidwells and members of the project team will give a short introduction to NABERS UK and then get into the practical detail of how the 5.5-star target influenced decisions at 334, and what those decisions mean for the people who operate buildings day to day.
Most importantly, this will be a discussion and we’d like to hear about the challenges FM teams across the Park are encountering, from controls and commissioning to energy data, occupier behaviour and the perennial question of whether buildings are performing as their designers intended.
Come ready to compare experiences, challenge the project team and take away practical ideas for your own buildings.
Ticket holders should meet at the reception in building 334 at 11:00.
