Professor Rameen Shakur has been appointed to chair the Cambridgeshire branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD). A professor of genomics and precision medicine, he has founded and run businesses in the medtech, digital healthtech and AI sectors. He is founder and chairman of medical device and algorithm company Cambridge Heartwear, which develops wearables for cardiac monitoring and artificial intelligence for the prevention of heart disease and stroke.
